Refund Policy

This policy describes when and how CoRubrics processes refunds for Pro plan subscribers, and sets out the statutory right of withdrawal available under Spanish and EU consumer protection law.

Last updated: June 5, 2026

Summary

  • The CoRubrics free plan incurs no charges and does not require a credit card.
  • New Pro plan subscribers have 14 calendar days from the date of the first charge to request a full refund, no questions asked.
  • Beyond that window, charges are non-refundable except for billing errors attributable to CoRubrics.
  • Refund requests must be sent to legal@corubrics.co.

1. Scope

This policy applies to paid Pro plan subscriptions to CoRubrics, purchased directly through corubrics.co by teachers or other natural or legal persons (hereinafter, the «Subscriber»).

The CoRubrics free plan incurs no charges. This policy does not apply to free plan users.

CoRubrics is operated by Roger Feliu Vert as an individual project, with contact email legal@corubrics.co.

Pro plan payments are processed by Paddle (Paddle.com Market Ltd.), CoRubrics's authorised payment provider and reseller. Paddle acts as the Merchant of Record for CoRubrics subscriptions, meaning charges on your bank statement will appear under the Paddle name. Paddle also handles invoice issuance and, in certain cases, may process refunds directly in accordance with its own policy.

2. Right of withdrawal (EU consumers)

In accordance with Article 71 of Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007 of 16 November approving the revised text of the General Law for the Defence of Consumers and Users (TRLGDCU), transposing Directive 2011/83/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council, Subscribers who qualify as consumers have a period of fourteen (14) calendar days from the date of the subscription contract to withdraw from it without giving any reason and without penalty.

However, pursuant to Article 103(a) of the TRLGDCU, the right of withdrawal does not apply to service contracts once the service has been fully performed, where performance has begun with the consumer's prior express consent and with their acknowledgement that they will lose their right of withdrawal once the contract has been fully performed.

Since access to the CoRubrics Pro plan features is enabled immediately upon subscription, CoRubrics will request the Subscriber's express consent and acknowledgement of the loss of the right of withdrawal at the point of purchase. If the Subscriber grants such consent, the statutory right of withdrawal will be excluded.

If you have not used any Pro plan features since subscribing, CoRubrics will nonetheless honour its voluntary 14-day refund policy described in section 3, regardless of the consent provided at checkout.

3. Voluntary refund policy — first 14 days

Independently of the statutory right of withdrawal, CoRubrics offers a full refund to any new subscriber who requests cancellation of their Pro subscription within fourteen (14) calendar days of the date of the first charge, no questions asked.

This voluntary refund policy applies exclusively to the first payment of each subscription. Subsequent renewals (monthly or annual) are not eligible for a refund under this policy, unless one of the circumstances set out in section 5 applies.

To request a refund under this policy, the Subscriber must contact legal@corubrics.co within the 14-day window, following the procedure described in section 7.

4. Non-refundable charges

As a general rule, refunds will not be issued in the following circumstances:

  • Refund requests submitted after 14 calendar days from the date of the relevant charge.
  • Subscription renewals (monthly or annual) beyond the first charge.
  • Subscription periods already elapsed, partially used, or unused, except as provided in section 5.
  • Account cancellations made mid-billing period: Pro plan access will remain active until the end of the already-paid period and no additional charges will be made, but no pro-rated refund will be issued.
  • Charges arising from special pricing plans, promotional codes, or discounts that expressly state non-refundability in their specific terms.

5. Exceptions: billing errors and service failures

CoRubrics will issue a full or partial refund, regardless of the window described in section 4, where any of the following circumstances apply:

  • A technical or administrative error attributable to CoRubrics that resulted in an incorrect or duplicate charge.
  • A charge in excess of the price displayed at the time of purchase.
  • A severe and extended service outage (exceeding 72 consecutive hours) within an already-paid billing period, unless the outage is attributable to force majeure or the circumstances described in the Terms of Use.
In the event of a billing error, CoRubrics commits to resolving it within 10 business days of the Subscriber's notification.

6. Subscription cancellation

The Subscriber may cancel their Pro subscription at any time from their account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period: Pro plan access remains active until that date and no further charges are made.

Cancellation of the subscription does not delete the account or its data. To delete the account and request erasure of all personal data, the Subscriber may use the GDPR controls available in the platform settings or request account deletion at legal@corubrics.co.

CoRubrics does not charge cancellation fees and does not impose minimum commitment periods.

7. How to request a refund

To request a refund, the Subscriber should contact legal@corubrics.co with the following information:

  • Email address associated with the CoRubrics account.
  • Date of the charge and, if available, transaction reference or identifier.
  • Reason for the request (optional, but may help expedite processing).
CoRubrics will acknowledge receipt of the request within 2 business days and issue a decision within 10 business days. Approved refunds are processed through Paddle and credited to the original payment method. The time for the credit to appear depends on the Subscriber's bank or payment provider, and is typically 5 to 10 business days after approval.

8. Chargebacks

CoRubrics encourages Subscribers to contact legal@corubrics.co directly before initiating a chargeback with their bank or payment provider. Most issues are resolved faster and more effectively through direct contact.

Initiating a chargeback without first contacting CoRubrics may result in the preventive suspension of the account while the dispute is processed.

9. Out-of-court dispute resolution

If the Subscriber is not satisfied with the resolution of their refund request, they may contact the Municipal Consumer Information Office (OMIC) in their municipality or other recognised alternative dispute resolution bodies in Spain.

Consumers resident in the European Union may also access the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform, available at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. The CoRubrics email address for ODR purposes is legal@corubrics.co.

The foregoing does not affect the Subscriber's right to bring legal proceedings before the competent courts.

10. Governing law

This policy is governed by Spanish law, in particular the TRLGDCU and Law 34/2002 of 11 July on Information Society Services and Electronic Commerce (LSSI-CE), without prejudice to any mandatory rights that the law of the consumer's country of residence may confer.

CoRubrics reserves the right to amend this policy at any time. Material changes will be communicated by email or by a prominent notice on the platform with a minimum of 15 calendar days' prior notice before the change takes effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date of any changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.
